Our qualified consultants are members of the BCi, are fully conversant with the British Standards Institute (BSi) International Standards ISO-22301, ISO/IEC 27001 & 27002 and the Business Continuity Institute’s good practice guidelines. All have achieved a BSi certificate in Lead Auditing for the British Business Continuity standard BS-25999, are registered with the BSI as an approved consultancy provider as part of the Associated Consultant Programme and are fully qualified in Fire, Health & Safety processes and procedures.

Our unique selling point is that our qualified consultants have held senior BCM positions in leading FTSE 100 organisations, with proven success in delivering and embedding BCM processes and capabilities into the governance processes and organisational cultures, supporting and influencing boards and their risk appetite to invest considerable sums in their risk management decisions and in the development of their BCMS and associated strategic capabilities.

In recent years our projects have taken on an International perspective supporting clients in the pharmaceutical, retail and petrochemical industries across Europe, Asia, The Far East and Russia. In addition, we have recently delivered Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) and documentation, nationally, for Housing Partnerships and International Retailers. Alan Hodgson MBCI, MSc, CMIIA (Associate Consultant)

Has over 35 years experience in business. Alan’s entire career has evolved around providing advice and guidance over the management of business risks. An expert in business risk management, control design, and assurance, Alan has a wealth of experience of working within both the public and the private sector and is well acquainted with working at an Executive level.

His Audit Management career covered many years within both the NHS and Local Government, and subsequently within a leading FTSE 100 Retail Group. Alan was then responsible for developing and implementing a Group Business Continuity Management strategy and capability for the same Retail organisation.

Alan’s academic successes are supported with an MSc in Audit Management and Consultancy, he also holds professional status as a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, a Member of the Business Continuity Institute and certified as a Lead Auditor for the British Standards Institute.

He regularly presents to specialist Business Continuity forums and recently worked with the British Standards Institute and the Business Continuity Institute in the development of industry related guidelines for Supply Chain Continuity.

More recently, he has worked with companies in the Property, Housing Partnership and Retail industries.
